Official website for internationally acclaimed band Spiritualized. Applied Works has overseen the design and build of several iterations of the site since 2005.
Spiritualized has a renowned presence through the sleeve artwork, but when the site was first launched between the albums “Amazing Grace” and “Songs in A & E”, there was no indication of what the new album was going to look like. We needed to develop a design that could house both what existed historically and what was to follow.
The solution is a sparse, 7 column square grid with a hypnotic pulsing background in which the site methodically flows from top to bottom through each of the 3 levels, allowing for large imagery underneath the navigation.
